Initiatives for professional equality
L’Oréal Mexico has multiplied its efforts to facilitate life-work balance for women. Four day care centers close to the workplace are available to working mothers. In 2011, the subsidiary created a nursing room in two of its sites and in a third site in 2012. It offers two preschools to take in children under four. Finally, Mexico is the second subsidiary after Italy to have created an intranet portal and a blog dedicated to working mothers. It has been online since May 2012. For this initiative, L’Oréal Mexico was awarded a professional equality label from the Ministry for Women as a "Modelo de Equidad de Genero".
Accessible workplaces for people with disabilities
L’Oréal Mexico received certification from the Manpower Foundation for accessibility to people with disabilities to its various work sites (the two factories, the logistics center and the company headquarters).
« All Talents Welcome »
L’Oréal Mexico’s newest factory, San Luis Potosi, was developed in line with their « All Talents Welcome » initiative on accessibility. All aspects of the new factory, from the construction, to the integration of employees, to the recruitment of candidates, were conceived by the factory’s development team to be fully accessible.
