On the occasion of this hype collaboration, an inspiring advertising campaign was unveiled where fashion meets beauty.
With this collaboration, L’Oréal sends a message of diversity and female empowerment through beauty, by highlighting twelve women with different origins and backgrounds. Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s creative director and L’Oréal share the same global idea that beauty is for all and for each individual. There is no single and unique model of beauty, but infinite forms of diverse beauty.
Shot together by the celebrated photographer Nico Bustos, the cast of 12 models stand for three tribes of L’Oréal Paris x Balmain Paris femininity. Bringing a new vision of Parisian beauty to the world, these three distinct stories Rock, Couture and Glamazone are each told in four shades for an overall collection of 12 Color Riche lipsticks, designed for every complexion.
Marking the first step of Balmain Paris in makeup, the campaign also gives a first look at the collection’s ultra-desirable couture packs, a blend of edginess and opulence, designed by Rousteing. With Balmain’s signature gold and embellishment, each collector pack distinguishes the L’Oréal Paris x Balmain Paris tribe in an associated color: blue for Rock, black for Couture and green for Glamazone. Each tribe has its own stand-out star shade: Glamazone Ysaunny Brito in Balmain Instinct, Rock woman Soo Joo Park voicing Freedom, Couture Doutzen Kroes wearing Confidence. These colors reflect cultures, personal histories and personalities.
